Union of Pan Asian Communities (UPAC) is honored and grateful to be one of 38 nonprofits across San Diego County to be awarded a Mental Health Grant by the San Diego Foundation (SDF)!
As a Lotus Fund grantee, UPAC will be awarded $50,000 to expand access to mental and behavioral health services for youth and young adults in Asian American, Native Hawaiian, Pacific Islander (AANHPI) communities across San Diego.
“When young people can talk openly about mental health and find support that understands who they are, entire families grow stronger,” said Wendy Urushima-Conn, President and CEO of UPAC. “This partnership with San Diego Foundation allows us to reach more youth and families with the care and connection they deserve.”
We look forward to working with the other Lotus Fund grantees to reduce the stigma around mental health for youth and young adults in the AANHPI community here in San Diego.
