Program Manager
Paul Herrmann, SUDCC with CADTP
Paul had a long career in hospitality management before attending San Diego City College and becoming certified as a Drug and Alcohol Counselor. For the last three years Paul has worked with teens, transitional aged youth and adults suffering from addiction. Paul is currently working towards a degree in sociology, and plans to pursue a Masters degree in social work, with the goal of impacting public policy surrounding drug laws and addiction treatment. Paul feels that recovery is about more than abstinence, and that people need positive activities and relationships in order to live life to the fullest.
What We Do
ATR is an outpatient, non-residential Substance Use Disorder treatment program dedicated to serving adult refugees, immigrants and other underserved populations such as Asian and Pacific Islanders.
Our program provides innovative and effective substance use treatment and recovery services to empower the individual to reach their full potential, improve their quality of life, strengthen their families and benefit the communities we live in.
ATR takes a client centered approach in which clients can receive group counseling, individual counseling, and /or general mental health therapy each week. Clients have access to case managers to assist them with finding housing, income resources, food banks in the community, transportation needs, and other daily living needs.
Additional services available include:
- On-site Ambulatory/outpatient Withdrawal Management (WM) services to reduce symptoms of substance withdrawal.
- Non-Methadone Medically Assisted Treatment (MAT) services are available for clients who are medically and clinically appropriate for these services.
- Learn more about our MAT Services and Resources.
